Welcome to PGHS

Pinetown Girls’ High School is a school of excellence in various spheres – retaining culture, embracing diversity, promoting excellence in academics, sport and other activities. All learners are encouraged to reach their full potential, respect the Code of Conduct, appreciate the efforts made by the highly dedicated staff, supportive parents and other stake-holders who have the best interests of the school at heart. The school has produced the best ambassadors for this country. Young women in royal blue are shaping the future by holding positions of leadership and challenging the status quo in preparation of the 4th Industrial Revolution.  They are groomed to be unapologetic about being females and to embrace the endless opportunities that lie ahead. ~ Miss S. Message from SGB Chairperson

Mr KJ Sibiya (SGB Chairperson)

Greetings

Pinetown Girls’ High School is very special school to the community of Pinetown and the surrounding areas. We do not compromise on the provision of quality education and learner discipline, as we strive to shape exceptional future women leaders who will take their rightful places in all spheres of society.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our girls for adhering to the school policies and for their co-operation in general. A special thank you to the learner leaders for their constructive participation in decision-making towards a conducive learning environment for all.

Congratulations to the following staff members for their appointments to new leadership roles:

Ms S. Njapha – School principal.

Miss E. Benjamin – Deputy Principal.

Mr S. Shange – Departmental Head.

We believe their combined efforts, strength and wisdom will take our school to the next level. Only the sky is the limit.

A special thank you to the academic, general maintenance and support staff for their continued commitment and dedication to the school over the years.

On behalf of the SGB, I wish all our learners the best for the final examinations and to our matric girls a very bright future ahead.

~ Mr KJ Sibiya [SGB Chairperson]
