Our school has been a proud supporter of SANBS (South African National Blood Service) for many years. Our learners willingly donate their blood between 2 and 4 times a year, in order to save the lives of others. Even last year when blood was so desperately needed , they willingly donated, despite the stringent rules imposed as a result of the pandemic.
Our blood bank representatives for the last 3 years are now in Matric and are ready to hand over the reins to a group of new reps who have recently been chosen from Grade 10.
I would like to thank our outgoing reps for their absolute commitment and dedication , their willingness to recruit , educate and train others in order to ensure as much blood as possible could be ‘harvested’ at each SANBS visit.
Thank you. Your efforts are appreciated very much indeed.
Let us all continue to support this outstanding organisation, knowing that our blood can make a huge difference to the people of this nation.
