The assembly choir has been the pride of Pinetown Girls` High School over the past two decades. This is due to the unique style of music, where the learners engage with different genres of music and perform some of the music in the vernacular.
The choir was the brain child of Ms Njapha who was its original director. For a few years she co-directed with Mr S. Shange, who became the director in 2016. The Assembly choir has produced some great artists, among them: Phindile Dube, Minenhle Ntuli, Zama Memela who have competed in Idols SA!. This is the choir of choice…….for the school of choice!!
